Office Hours

What are your office hours and where are you located?

Our office is open M-F 9-5pm and Saturday 11-2pm during the CMU school year. If classes are not in session or if it’s near a holiday please call to be sure we are open. Our main business office is located at the front of Lexington Ridge Apartments, 3700 E. Deerfield Rd.

Touring A Property

Do I need an appointment to see an apartment or house?

Not usually at Lexington Ridge, but recommended for Casa Loma or any of our houses and apartments north of campus. Call the office for appointment times and locations.

Application Process

How do I apply?

You can apply online by selecting the link on our website or stop by the business office at Lexington Ridge.

Do I need an appointment to sign a lease?

No, but calling in advance will allow us to have the appropriate materials ready for you. Please allow up to 30 minutes to read and sign the lease, and be sure to have your drivers license with you.

How much money do I need to sign a lease?

Usually we require a minimum of $50 per person towards the rental deposit with the balance due within 30 days. We will work with you to accommodate your situation whenever possible.

Rent & Billing

When is rent due?

The first rent payment is usually due on or before July 15th, then on or before the 15th of each month until April 15th. If you choose the discounted 4 payment plan, the due dates are July 15, September 15, November 15, and January 15. Check you lease or call the office to be sure.

Do you send me a bill when my payments are due?

No, bills are not sent to residents each month, but you may see payment reminders posted around the complexes, and if you provide your email address to us we try to send reminders in our newsletters.

How can I make my rent payment?

We accept cash, checks, money orders, and debit or credit card payments in the office, by phone, or payments can be made online.  Follow the Pay Your Rent link on our website to make fast, easy payments 24/7!   You may mail your payment to Apartment Management Group, PO Box 1010, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48804. We also have an after hours drop in the door of the business office at Lexington Ridge. Please do not mail or drop cash in the after hours drop box. Please include your complex name and unit number with your payment.

Lease Info

Can I break my lease with AMG?

No, you cannot break your lease; you will need to find a sub-leasor.

How do I sublease?

Please contact the office for specific information regarding subleasing.

Are pets allowed?

ONLY Cats and Dogs at Casa Loma or Lexington Ridge (Fees apply).  All pets must be pre-approved and registered in the office, and a pet addendum must be signed by all roommates comprising tenant BEFORE the cat can be moved in the apartment. Please refer to our Resident Policy Guide or check with the leasing office for information and all the specifics.

When can I pick up my keys?

You can pick up your keys in the business office at Lexington Ridge the day your lease begins, or any time after that date during regular business hours.

Can I move in early?

Yes, depending upon the circumstances, and if the apartment is ready for move in. Please call the office to see if your apartment is available for an early move in. Fees apply.

My Stuff

Is my personal property covered by landlords insurance?

No. Renters Insurance covers your personal belongings and is strongly recommended. In some cases, your personal property may be covered by your parents insurance if you are a dependent, but be sure to check with them and their insurance agent. Feel free to stop by the office for information regarding obtaining renters insurance.
